The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, reacted from the premises of SPAK
to the calls of protesting students against him and demands for his resignation.
Berisha said that these calls make him proud and he considered them an honor.,
declaring that he is an opponent of the officials he considers to be part of the narco-state.
“This honors me. Berisha is the terror and hell of narco-officials and their gangs. I feel proud!”, he said. Berisha also responded to the criticism of the DP for its stance in relation to the student protest. He said that the Democratic Party was among the first to respond to the union's call for the October 13 protest, stressing that it has also engaged the structures of the Youth Forum.
“I tell the kissers of Rama, not you, slandered servants of the father, these people made it a fact that their president is chosen by them and no one else. The DP has supported, responded first to the call of the unions for the student protest on October 13. These are documents, facts. No one denies them. The DP has moved its structures of the Youth Forum, which has its own branch in the universities. This protest is student. Those who try catch him, they will be found. These are the ‘Flamingos’ and they behave like crows. The protest is not with party symbols, as we recognize student merit.”, he asserted.
During the communication with the journalists, the head of the DP also stopped at the parliamentary elections of May 11, repeating the accusations of vote manipulation and the influence of criminal groups on the result.
Berisha said that the opposition had warned that it would protect the vote of Albanians and that it had presented documents to international observers that, according to him, prove the violations during the election process.
He also referred to the response of the spokesperson of the US Department of State to Secretary Marco Rubio's congratulations to the election winners, interpreting it as a message to Prime Minister Edi Rama.
“DP told the Albanians that she will defend the vote. As you have heard, in the elections of May 11, Rama did not receive a congratulation like every other year. Through this congratulation, the DASH spokesperson answered a journalist's question that Secretary Rubio congratulates only those who emerge victorious from the free elections. He has double the six o'clock for Rama. The elections have been observed by hundreds of international observers. Since the day they set foot in Albania and until they are away, DP has presented hundreds of documents showing the theft of votes. Anyone who carefully reads the report of the internationals, there is an arbitrator there. In violation of the legal deadline, 450 activities took place that were not allowed.
