Mr. Vucic,
I am addressing you as an Albanian from Sanjak, as the daughter of a people that has survived through the centuries,
despite the oppression, injustices and attempts to deny the national identity.
You didn't trample on Sanjak with just one foot, but with all the power of your power,
using also certain politicians of this three to deepen the division and to weaken Bosniaks and Albanians. But you must understand once and for all: no politics of division can extinguish the identity of a people who know who they are and what their roots are!
Mr. Vucic, your problem is not only with Mr. Shaip Kamberin. Your problem is with the Albanian voice, with our dignity, with our rights and with the fact that we refuse to remain silent in the face of injustice. You are concerned about every Albanian who stands up and demands equality, every voice that refuses to bow and every person who refuses to be part of the silence that you want.
But I'm telling you clearly: Albanians don't disappear with threats, they don't submit to pressure and they don't forget their roots to please anyone!
We have lived in our lands, we have preserved our language, flag, history and identity, and we will continue to live here with dignity. Neither you nor anyone else can deny us the right to be Albanians, to speak Albanian and to demand our equal rights.
Every time you think you've got us down, we find the strength to get back up. Every time you try to silence us, our voice gets louder. Because we are not a people that is defined by fear, but a nation that is kept alive by conscience, history and love for the country.
I am an Albanian from Sanjak and I have no intention of being silent in front of anyone when it comes to my nation. I am not asking for privileges, but for equality, justice, dignity and respect for Albanians in Serbia. These are not gifts that power gives us, but rights that belong to us.
Mr. Vučić, remember well: you can have power, institutions and propaganda, but you cannot defeat a people who refuse to forget who they are!
Sanxhak and Lugina are not silent. The Albanians of Sanxhak and Lugina are not without identity. And I, as an Albanian of these three, will continue to speak, seek justice and protect the rights of my people.
We do not ask permission to be Albanians. We are Albanians and we will remain Albanians! 🇦🇱
With dignity, courage and loyalty to my nation.
Amina Nuraj
Albanian of Sanxhak
