Florenc Spaho, doctor and former deputy of the Socialist Party,
showed yesterday that an intervention at the right time can make the difference between life and death.
The administrator of the state company Illyrian Guard has seen that one of his employees
had suffered a heart attack and reacted immediately.
The 58-year-old employee with the initials B.M. was at work when he suffered a myocardial infarction and was in serious danger to his life. Colleagues notified the ambulance and panicked, they didn't know how to react until medical help arrived.
The administrator Florenc Spaho was also informed about the situation, who did not hesitate at any moment and started the cardiac massage.
He is a doctor by profession and having the necessary knowledge, he reacted immediately, knowing that those seconds would be decisive for the 58-year-old employee of the Illyrian Guard. And actually it happened.
His intervention proved vital and the worker was brought back to life. A little later, the ambulance arrived at the premises of the institution, which, due to yesterday's heavy traffic, also affected by the rain, could not arrive in time.
Fortunately, there was the administrator Florenc Spaho who, using his professionalism and knowledge as a doctor, gave first aid to the 58-year-old. Then, he was taken by ambulance to the hospital for specialized help.
Beyond his duty as an administrator, Folorenc Spaho showed that professional preparation and the readiness to act at a critical moment can have an extraordinary value: to save a human life.
