A serious event was recorded in the US state of Georgia, where five people were found dead inside an apartment. All the victims had gunshot wounds.
Police were called late last night to a shooting at a home on Robin Lane in the southern Touchton Woods area.
Shortly after the call, several patrols headed to the reported address. When officers entered the apartment, they found five people shot.
The emergency teams could not do anything to save them and the death of the five was confirmed at the scene.
From the preliminary data of the investigation, the authorities suspect that it is a multiple murder followed by the author's suicide.
According to this track, a man allegedly opened fire on four other people who were in the residence, killing them. He then allegedly pointed the gun at himself and ended his life.
The police have not yet disclosed the identities of the victims nor the relationship they had with each other.
The motive that may have led to the tragedy also remains unclear.
Investigators are working to reconstruct the minutes before the shooting and determine the full circumstances of the incident. The authorities have announced that the investigation continues.
