“Rama the autocrat! Give up!”/ The 129th day of the protest, citizens gather again today in front of the Prime Minister's Office

Citizens' protest against the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama continues today, entering the 129th consecutive day.

After more than four months of daily gatherings, citizens are expected to return to the center of Tirana to continue their action, with the main demand being the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government.

As in the previous days, the protesters are expected to first gather in “Skënderbej” square, to then start the march towards the Prime Minister's Office.

In addition to Rama's resignation, demands for the creation of a transitional technical government, as well as changes in the political and electoral system, were articulated during the protests.

At last night's rally, citizens repeated calls for the resignation of the prime minister and accused the government of corruption, abuse of office and mismanagement.
The protesters have stated that they will not back down from their demands and that the rallies will continue every day.

Meanwhile, civil action is expected to intensify in the coming days. Another protest has been announced for October 13, calling for a greater participation of students and young people.
