The police in Durres have arrested Fetah Mataj, the husband of the former director of the Post Office in this city, Elisabeta Mataj, who stole 700,000 euros from the Durres Post Office.<\/p>\n

Fetah Mataj is accused of \u201cthreatening to give away property\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mataj was responsible for waste disposal in the Municipality of Durr\u00ebs. It is suspected that he threatened employees to give him 25,000 new lek per month.<\/p>\n

Fetah Mataj was appointed to this post shortly after the scandal, where the ex-wife was accused of embezzling 700,000 euros from the Durr\u00ebs Post Office. The former director of the Post Office, Elizabeta Mataj, is still under \u201chouse arrest\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Serious Crimes Specialists of the DVP Durres executed the decision of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durres, for the appointment of the personal security measure \u201cPrison arrest\u201d for the citizen F. M., 44 years old, resident in neighborhood no. 15, Durres.<\/p>\n

The Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durr\u00ebs has assigned to the citizen F. M. the measure of personal security \u201cArrest in prison\u201d, for the criminal offense \u201cCoercion by means of threats or violence to give property, carried out in cooperation\u201d.<\/p>\n
